Being situated in Pretoria, the Capital City of South Africa and within the same precinct as the SAAF Head Quarters the Pretoria Branch finds itself in the middle of most SAAF and SAAFA activities i.e. Memorial Services, Caring for the Aged, Official SAAF Activities and many more. It stands to reason that most of the National Executive Members come from the Pretoria Branch.

Annually during October of every year we present a Deutche Bierfest with Oompha Band and Germine cuisine. This fundraising event is held inside no 11 Hanger at AFB Swartkop. This unique venue provides quality 'top cover' against thunderstorms and the like.
In an effort to support our Care for the Aged program the branch presents an annual fundraising charity golf day at Services Golf Club, Thaba Tshwane.
As part of our Care for the Aged benevolent program we provide the residents of Ad Astra, a SAAFA Project, an annual Christmas Braai. During this event our branch's Executive Committee Members act as ground staff serving the elderly.
Every Thursday members, friends and SAAF staff get together at The Hartbees Club & Lapa, our social gathering place to enjoy each other's company with lots of fun and laughter. This event had become known as the Thirstday Club. In the spirit of camaradery event ties are available just for the fun of it. Every last Thursday of every month is known as Thirstie Night.
